Human Trial Study On CBD For Anxiety


In 2011 at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil a simulation public speaking test was conducted on patients with Generalized Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) who either received a single dose of CBD or a placebo, 1hour and a half before the test. A total of 24 never treated patients with SAD took part in this test. The test was measured on visual analogue scale, negative self-statement scale and physiological measures (blood pressure, heart rate and conductance.


The results were that patients that we given the CBD had significantly reduced their anxiety, cognitive impairment and discomfort in their speech performance. The placebo group experienced higher anxiety, cognitive impairment and discomfort throughout the test, whereas it was abolished with the patients given CBD.
