If you are wondering how much CBD oil you should take or which CBD Oil to choose, then you are in the right place!
While there has been many studies on CBD, clinical research is still on the rise and alot more needs to be discovered on the uses and benefits of CBD. What we know thus far is that there is no universal dosage. Many factors can affect your CBD dosage, such as, body weight, diet, metabolism, medications & pre-existing medical conditions. Since everyone's body and needs are different it may require trial and error to find the right CBD dosage suited for you. Before we dive in, lets go over the basics.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, most commonly referred to as CBD, is a compound found in hemp and cannabis plants that is 100% non-intoxicating and will not cause a "high". Over the past few decades, pre-clinical and some human trial studies on CBD have found that it can be helpful for the following
What to consider when choosing a CBD oil
Amount of CBD in the bottle
Full spectrum, broad spectrum or isolate oil
How do I choose the CBD oil that is right for me?
While there isn't a specific dosage for anyone as of yet, body weight is a contributing factor. We recommend referencing our dosage chart (shown above) - this will help narrow it down to a couple options.
Breakdown on CBD Oil Dosages
500mg Oil = 16.6mg CBD per ml
750mg oil = 25mg CBD per ml
1000mg Oil = 33.3mg CBD per ml
1500mg Oil = 50mg CBD per ml
2000mg Oil = 66mg CBD per ml
3000mg Oil = 1000mg CBD per ml
Other than the potency (amount of CBD in the bottle), you will notice that our oils have different ingredients, such as flavors and some have other benifical, plant-based ingredients added to them. We also carry many oils that are unflavoured and contain CBD oil - only.
Our advice it to be mindful of the ingredients - this will allow you to choose an oil of your preference.
Can the dosage chart be used for edible products too?
Yes! If you are taking CBD in an edible form, such as gummies and capsules, the dosage of CBD per capsule & gummy will be listed in the product description - you can then reference our dosage chart to see what will be a good starting dosage based on your body weight.
Can you overdose on CBD?
The short answer is No. In fact, CBD is considered a non-toxic compound and high doses up to 1,500 mg/day of CBD are reportedly well tolerated in humans.
How often should I take CBD?
CBD can be taken 1-3 times daily or as needed but it is best to take it at least once a day for optimal results.
CBD is considered “biphasic” which means you can experience different effects based on the dosage taken and your body. Taking too little or too much can have the opposite effect of what you are looking for. When you take a small dose of CBD it can cause wakefulness, medium doses can cause a calming effect, while large doses can be sedative, however it differs from person to person. Its always best to gradually increase your CBD dosage to achieve the optimal dosage suited for you.
